HARD CANDIES Old fashioned : Balsam Fir
Shape: pine cone
Container: bag
200 gr
Some flavours tell the story of a place. This one tells the story of our boreal forest.
Balsam fir holds a very special place at Chocolat Boréal. It is no coincidence that our emblem is a pine cone: this flavour perfectly represents our connection to nature, Québec, and the northern inspirations that are part of our identity.
I wanted to create a candy that captures the freshness of the forest after a summer rain, the scent of evergreens, and that unique feeling of walking among the trees.
Inspired by the famous Vosges fir bud candy, we created our own Québec interpretation using our artisanal expertise. Its resinous freshness is surprising at first, then quickly becomes a flavour experience that lovers of boreal-inspired tastes seek out.
I love this recipe because it is truly different. It doesn’t resemble any traditional candy flavour and gives your customers something they won’t find everywhere else.
Handcrafted in our chocolate factory in Québec using natural flavours and naturally sourced colours, this candy offers a local alternative to imported confectionery. It is available in two complementary formats: our elegant metal tin, perfect as a gift, souvenir, or collectible item, and our larger transparent pouch, ideal for refilling candy jars or replenishing the tin at home.
Together, these two formats create a true discovery experience in-store: the tin catches attention, tells the brand story, and becomes a keepsake, while the pouch allows fans to easily enjoy more of this unique flavour. When ordered by the case, our tins come in ready-to-display integrated countertop displays that showcase the collection beautifully.
At Chocolat Boréal, we believe a generous assortment does more than enhance your offering: it reassures your customers, builds purchasing habits, and supports the continuity of your sales. That’s why we encourage you to reorder before running out, so every purchase already creates the desire for your customer to come back for the next one.
Every day this flavour is missing from your assortment is an opportunity for sales and customer loyalty that you are leaving to a competitor. Order now.
