You know those metal cookie tins we used to find at our grandparents’ homes? The ones we opened hopefully, never quite sure whether they still held cookies or everything needed to sew a button back on?
I wanted to bring back that little nostalgic pleasure while giving it a story of our own.
Our shortbread cookies are inspired by a childhood treat from a bakery that has since disappeared. Together with Ludovic, we recreated that memory in the form of delicate rosettes and brought together our two flavours: vanilla partially coated in milk chocolate and cocoa.
I especially love this tin because the experience lasts long after the final cookie. You give the cookies, share them, and then keep the tin. And who knows? Maybe one day it will hold a sewing kit, too!

With his wife Florence, they started Chocolat Boréal in 2017, as a small business engaged in its community, with values that would represent them and that would make their children, Édouard and Claire, proud.
